Phoenix Horse Farm horses are under the care, training and management program designed by Head Trainer Debbie McCarthy Connor. As a 25 year veteran of the Grand Prix ring, Debbie has placed in the top 3 $50,000
Grand Prix at HITS Saugerties, as well as placed in the top 10 in $500,000 Devoucoux Hunter finals. She has trained national champion ponies in the green, medium and large pony divisions. Her students have also won in the Marshall & Sterling finals.
As owner of Phoenix Horse Farm, she encourages her riders to understand basic mechanics of the horse they are on. Horses in the Phoenix training program build their strength with pole work, gymnastics and practicing elements in the show ring, offering the perfect preparatory skills for competition. Clients are able to train with Debbie in two locations – Patterson, NY and Ocala, FL.
In addition to her excellent training programs, Debbie is known throughout the industry for pairing the perfect horse and rider combinations. Whether you’re looking for a retired Grand Prix horse for your Junior Jumper rider or looking to start a young horse into a great career, Debbie can find the perfect horse.
